1 oz White Loose Leaf 1 Ingredient Tea

$6.00

The White Tea Loose Leaf blend offered by Deep Blue Teas makes an amber tea color and tastes closer to medium black tea than green tea. It has a great taste and 3 times more antioxidants than other teas. The caffeine in white teas can be higher than in black and green teas; however, in this tea, the caffeine is only 15 mg of caffeine per 8 oz of water.

This white loose-leaf tea is made from Pai Mu Tan white tea, which is the highest grade of affordable white tea before pricing substantially increases. The leaves are naturally withered and dried in the sun. Also, only special two leaves and a bud are selected. These leaves must show a very light green, almost gray-white color and be covered with velvet peach fuzz down. This tea is processed to a smaller leaf size to improve infusion.

Ingredients: White tea

INSTRUCTIONS:

Put a teaspoon or more of loose-leaf tea per 6-8 ounces of water into a tea bag or strainer and place in a cup

Fill the cup with hot water to a temperature of 175-194 degrees F (or just before boiling- if the water boils let it cool for a few minutes before pouring over white tea leaves)

Let the tea steep for 2-3 minutes.

*White tea is a tea that needs to be adjusted to your individual taste. The steeping temperature and length of steep may change depending on your preference. This is a tea that it is good to prepare a few different ways to see which one you prefer most. Some even leave the white tea steeping longer than 3 minutes. Just be careful not to steep too long because this tea can become bitter.
